How to handle the Christmas Do with class
Ain’t no party like an office Christmas party, right? But so many people get it oh so wrong. So we’ve picked out some office-do-friendly pieces to make sure you get it down. The look is glam, but HR approved!
No matter where you work you know the Christmas party is the event of the season. Girls have been planning their outfits since August and you know there’s a spreadsheet going around so nobody wears the same thing! Our Metallic Long Sleeve Sequin Dress (£30) is the perfect mix of festive glam but also appropriate. Team with some barely-there heels, our Beige Two Part Platform Heels (£30) work perfectly, and you’re ready to go.
If you’re feeling more 70s disco queen a jumpsuit can be the perfect way to go. It has the added bonus of being slightly more covered than a dress but of course a nightmare in the toilet! My personal fave is this gorgeous wrap front Multi Snake Skin Wrap Jumpsuit (£25). It’s super flattering and in the animal print of the year! Alternatively, for a more Christmassy vibe opt for the Blue Velour Jumpsuit (£28). It’s such a beautiful shade of blue and a really nice alternative to black!
This season has been all about mixing up your hemlines. The midi skirt came back with a BANG and thank God it did. Gone are the days of subconsciously pulling down your polyester mini (or ‘belt’ as your dad calls it) to avoid showing a little too much! This Multi Leopard Print Wrap Midi Skirt (£15) would be perfect teamed with our Black High Neck Long Sleeve Basic Bodysuit (£12) for a demure look or flash a little flesh with our Black Slinky Bandeau Top (£5).
Jeans and a nice top
‘Jeans and a nice top’ is the girl version of ride or die. We all have that one outfit that’s our go-to. The outfit we turn to when times are tough. Christmas is also time for a little sparkle. Amp up your black skinnies and go for these Black Three Zip Pu Trousers (£25) and team them with this Silver Cowl Tie Back Top (£5). It’s worth remembering that at this time of year less is definitely not more. With that in mind slip these babein’ Metallic Pointed Toe Strappy Sandals on to complete the look.
You can now go forth into party season armed with these elegant, appropriate and festive looks. For more inspiration shop our Partywear edit.
