5 UK Festivals You CAN'T Miss This Summer
With Coachella taking over Instagram right now, it’s time for you to get festival ready. We’ve put together our favourite festivals happening this summer!
For all you dance lovers out there. Lovebox have moved to the fab location of Gunnersbury Park in Hounslow. No longer run by London party guru Groove Armada but nothing’s changed, it's still going to be as lively as ever. Taking place on the 13th and 14th July, you will get the chance to see Skepta, Annie Mac, Childish Gambino and many more dance names. Expect lots of karaoke, cocktails, vintage clothing and street food. It’s a place for you hipsters out there.
Taking over from V fest is the brand new festival on the scene, RiZE. Like no other festival there is a great mix from indie, pop, urban, dance as well as up and coming names. Major names will be heading down to Essex taking the stage on 17th - 18th , including Liam Gallagher who is headlining on the Friday, Craig David, Hames Bay, Stereophonics, Rita Ora and Rag ‘n’ Bone Man. There’s no doubt all the a-list celebs will be there in the ever so luxe VIP area. They’ve even got real toilets, what a treat.
For the grime and hip-hop fans out there, Wireless is for you. With probably one of the best line ups to date you can see Mist, Stormzy, J Hus, Post Malone and many more shut down London town. No doubt it’s going to be a lively, party, atmosphere. Unfortunately, it is sold out right now but their official resale partner is Seatwave.
A fairly new festival, it’s only been going for the past four years and is perfect for young teenagers. Happening in the ultra-friendly city of Liverpool. It would even be a great one for the family to head to with it being not-so-hardcore party vibes. They’ve got a pretty incredible line up with the likes of David Guetta, Shawn Mendes, James Arthur and Zara Larsson. As this takes place in September it would be great to end the summer holidays here.
If your graduating university this year and don’t plan on going on holiday, we suggest you get down to Reading and Leeds. Celebrating the bank holiday in style, let’s hope there’s some sun. There’s a real mix at this year’s festival and it’s not just for you indie guys out there with Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone, King of Leon all hitting the stage.
